Fair, Family, and other Fun stuff...

I feel like I blog a lot, but I still don't feel like I blog enough because every time I do a post I have to write about so much stuff! Oh well... I guess that's what happens when you do so much fun stuff all the time! So here we go again... our life in pictures!
Last weekend Andrew and I went to the Utah State Fair with Annie, Darcee, and Saydee. It was a lot of fun! Somehow Andrew and I had a super delicious funnel cake, and Darcee had a GIANT scone and I got no pictures of either of them... but just picture lots of fattening foods being eaten by us very quickly... It was a really pretty sight!
This is probably the best part of the fair... Butter sculpture.... How do you discover you are good at that? I don't understand! But either way, it's pretty cool. The sculpture this year was made with over 700 pounds of butter! (Um... ew!)
Annie and I got talked into going to learn square dancing with some of the dancers at the fair. We made sure we got a picture with one of them because their skirts are awesome! This is one of the less poofy skirts, some of the others were ridiculous!
And... Sea lions? Random! They were letting people take pictures with them and the sea lions were actually posing! It was pretty awesome!
Here is Annie... with some cows...
Oink Oink! (That's all I have to say about the piggy picture.) There was a pig there that was HUGE!! It was crazy!
We messed around at some fun zone for kids. They had all sorts of sciencey stuff. This was supposed to be for the balls... but we thought it was more fun with our hair!

Probably my favorite picture! It's so cute! I don't ride ferris wheels but I do think they look cool at night!
One of the little shops with all of the cheapo stuff... Pretty much a fantastic source of entertainment!

Annie found a little lizard thing on the ground and felt the need to take it home with her! It was probably because we were so jealous about the people that were on a date that had won a bunch of huge stuffed animals (obviously the guy had spent lots of money to win these things!) and finding a lizard on the ground was all we could do to make ourselves feel as cool as them...
I don't feel like this picture even needs any words...
You got it... "Bushels of Utah State Fair Fun"...

Then, on Saturday we went to the Utah football game and Nicole was able to come with us because some of the other people in our group couldn't come. Swoop came through by our seats again... we didn't have the camera ready when he was by us but look how close we were... One day we will get a picture with him! And no, we don't know those people posing with him.

I love Nicole's face in this one...
Then, on Sunday we went to a family get together up at Jordan and Nikole's. It was Kailie's birthday month so she got to have her birthday cake...
Look how excited all the kids are about it...

Andrew and I stuffed our faces because the dinner was so good! Thanks guys!We basically have the cutest family ever! Here is some proof...

And this is what happens when you let one of the kids take the camera...
The view from a kid's perspective...

This is what happens when Andrew wants to go to bed and I won't let him because I want to finish my logic problem... I'm not complaining, it felt good! I think I'll be wearing pants for a while though!

Wallpaper, Lion King, and Gateway=Craziness!

Last weekend was pretty crazy. On Saturday morning Andrew went golfing, so I went up to Brooke's new house to help her get some of the wallpaper off the walls. I was up there a little early so I got to help her little girl get ready for the day. Isn't she so cute. She picked out her dress and then went to brush her teeth, my favorite part is her hair though... It looks kind of like mine when I wake up in the morning.... I mean, what? My hair always looks perfect!
At Brooke's new house... she has the COOLEST oven/stove! This is the oven... don't you wish you had one just like it! I mean, the door opens to the side and it's at about eye level with me... Who wants to bend over to get their food out of the oven?! And see those buttons on the side? Those aren't to control the oven, those are the buttons for the stove! I think it's awesome, but I'm easily pleased. Her stove top is under the oven where the counter is, and under the stove? Cabinets... Weirdest thing ever! I didn't even know you could have cabinets right under your stove top. That's probably where I would store things like chocolate and other things that could melt and get all over the place when I cook!
Anyway, onto the wallpaper. Brooke and I had finished the other wall that they started on Friday so Tyler and I were trying to get this beauty off the wall before we started getting the wallpaper off this wall. It took us like an hour to get it down! It was ridiculous! We had unscrewed everything as far as we could get it to unscrew and Tyler was doing pull-ups on it and we still couldn't get it to come off the ceiling... So, Tyler took a hammer to it! He was pretty excited to smash it but he couldn't even make a dent in it! I feel like I may want to make my house out of whatever this thing was made of! It's pretty much indestructible! We finally got it down though (and took some relatively large chunks out of the ceiling along with it. But I was comforted by the fact that apparently holes in the ceiling is nothing to worry about! :) And besides that... isn't the wallpaper pretty? It took us pretty much the rest of the morning and half of the afternoon to just get the stuff off that wall! Good luck with the rest of the house Brooke!
This is one of the screws from the thing we pulled off the ceiling.... I know that cell phones are small these days, but mine isn't. The screws were huge! And there were like 16 of them in there! (ok, 6... but it seemed like a lot more!)
After we had that fun adventure, Andrew and I came home and got ready to head out to dinner and to Lion King with my mom and John. This is our "Yay! We're going to Lion King!" picture! It was a blast! The show was awesome... I just want to know who comes up with all those costumes and stuff... So creative! Side note: Aren't our ceilings beautiful?! Makes you jealous, huh? (In case you're having a hard time seeing details... there are holes in it... kind of like Lite Brite!)
After the show Andrew and I went dancing with some statues...
And this thing is pretty random... This is the kind of stuff you get to see when you walk around Salt Lake at night, kind of cool though!
Well, we neetded a "Yay! We just saw Lion King!" picture... I feel like they just keep getting better!
We happened to be parked by the 2 news Storm Tracker car, so, naturally we had to get a picture of it!
If any of you ever had any question of where I get all the weird faces from, stop wondering... here's your answer. Andrew fits right in with the craziness!
And this is the view from.... our parking spot! Pretty, eh?
This one is a little better....
And my mom and I tried to get some pictures... these two were the best that we got! But look... obviously I get my eyes from her too!

And this car was also in the parking garage with us... Apparently thye just got married or something! I've never seen a car decorated that much! I hope they have some scissors or something so they can even get in the car!
On Monday we went to Gateway because everyone had the day off for Labor day. Andrew and I were hoping that if we posed cute enough my mom would buy us this stuff... It didn't work out that way though.
Like mother, like daughter.... That's all I can say about this one...
Such a fun week! This weekend should be pretty exciting too! Hopefully I'll remember my camera for all of it! :)
